World Diabetes Day | Ah! Tri Né!

Points in Brazil and the world will be colored blue on Monday night, to celebrate and raise awareness about the disease that afflicts more and more people around the world.

The date was chosen to be on the birthday of Frederick Banting. He and Charles Best were the first scientists to conceive the idea that led to the discovery of insulin. The World Day is the result of an initiative made by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and World Health Organization (WHO) and the theme this year is "Diabetes in Children and Adolescents."

In over 50 countries, historical monument, sights and more, will be illuminated in blue. Among them: Us (12 points, including the Empire State Building), Australia (11 points right to the Opera House and Bell Tower in Perth), Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada (including Niagara Falls!), Egypt, Finland , Greece (in Greek parliament), Japan, UK and others. In Brazil, are already confirmed over 20 points, including Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Lacerda Elevator in Salvador, Tower Building Altino Arantes, Santa Casa School of Medicine and the USP in São Paulo. Check out the full list here.

For those who still think "Oh, poor thing (o), as the November" is good to know about the disease , which affects all ages, including infants. Information and education are essential for anyone who has or lives with a diabetic.

With proper treatment, can lead a perfectly normal life. Below famous people who lived and won, even with hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia in some way.

Sharon Stone, Ella Fitzgerald, Halle Berry, Elvis Presley, Dado Villa-Lobos, Elizabeth Taylor, Ernest Hemingway and the singer Ana Carolina.

My child turns three years on June 03, December, and has type 1 diabetes as well as you, some things are complicated, and discard half of the cartridge of insulin that he uses, which is so expensive, and find a pen to make half a unit, because often an entire drive him much but, for him, that's a normal thing, when it says it is feeling bad and not complain of three injections per day or leaky in the finger.
