There, in Brazil, hundreds of etidades, NGOs or simply good-hearted people who, for the love of animals, welcome, friends and care for these abandoned. The reality is that the cost of medications and food is high and difficult to maintain appropriate locations and conditions are many and enormous.

To help these people and serious institutions, which will certainly make good use of donations, was created by SRZD, the 500 Club. A very cool initiative that will take care of properly and apply the amounts received, publicly offering tracking every penny raised in the campaign. Click here to learn more about this action. Those who know me know, any such initiative has my full support. Since I adopted: the Laikinha, who lived with me almost 14 years, Dulce, who met in the parking lot in college, the Toddy, which was rejected for having "too old", and has encouraged the adoption of various family dogs. I recommend wholeheartedly. Those who have or have had pets know what I'm talking about is a greater love.

I also encourage and support any initiative like that. If I had space I would like to rescue dogs and cats I see on the streets, treat and put it up for adoption careful! Adopt to adopt no good, have to commit. For now the best I could do and my bride was to adopt two kittens that would certainly be sacrificed.

I am a voluntary NGO Brazil tb the ark, it is not so great, but it is well known, campaigned for direct castration is pretty cool

Already adopted dogs (and now a cat) for 6 years and recommend it to anyone looking for a four-legged companion.
Anyone who wants the benefits of a specific breed may look for a pedigree dog, but for people who just want the love of a dog, you can look in shelters or adoption fairs lacking a paw.

Look, if I could have a dozen dogs at home, but unfortunately I have only one, a chow-chow micro than a year is a terror.
However, I have plans to adopt a minimum one to two with another one of my girlfriend have three mascots (almost a kennel)!
But congratulations for the initiative, great presence!

Congratulations on your initiative to promote this theme. Also I have adopted, are two puppies and a kitten here at home, all former street. I'm including the rewarding experience of having adopted a dog as an adult, who died last year after years of living loving, faithful and very close. Any initiative to encourage adoption of abandoned animals and responsible ownership deserves applause! Even when doing this because we are always subject to some criticism of moralists on duty who believe that the only valid form of goodness that is directed only at humans. Funny that are often the least actually do for your next.
